29 Sep Boat Naming – Tysoe

Today we officially named the Tysoe Pair in a formal ceremony attended by relatives of Jimmy Tysoe who rowed successfully for the club in the fifties’. He donated a substantial sum to the club last year in his will and the pair was purchased in his honour.

The Tysoe family were very pleased with their reception and our hospitality. Two of them grew up in Worcester and there were very interesting conversations about their early years in the area and recollections of what the clubhouse looked like many years ago!
