With not much happening on the Events front due to continual flooding and bad weather, we have still managed to win a few medals!

Last Sunday the club had 13 entries at Gloucester Spring Head and despite the wind and rain we managed to pull off FIVE Winners!

Worcester Rowing Club junior winners at Gloucester Spring Head

Everyone had a great time (don’t you just love outdoor sports) and we won at:

Open 4+
W 4x
WJ18 4x- (rowing at senior level to boot!)
WJ18 1x
J12 2x

Our junior squad had a great time and for some it was their first taste of competition.

The day before we had a crew at WEHORR, racing in an eight. Against stiff competition they acquitted themselves well.

In late February we had two scullers at Avon County Head: Cath in her single and Freya in her J18 single. Both WON!

Back in mid January the junior squad competed at the annual King’s Indoor rowing champs and did well, managing a few podium finishes in the Year 10 girls, Year 7 squad and Sixth form girls categories. A great day out.

Next up are the re-arranged WM Junior Trials at Hereford and the mighty Vesta International Masters Head of the River Race
