Racing Season Opener!

A busy weekend at the first regattas of the season with senior and junior squads at Evesham, Marlow and Wallingford

Evesham

A good day for the men with 3 out of 4 wins. Master C/D 8+, Open 4+ & Open 2- & narrowly losing the Masters C/D 4+ by 1/3rd of a length.

Juniors – a win for the WJ182x on the Saturday and the J161x; a narrow loss (1 foot) for the WJ152x in the final after three tough rounds.

Marlow

First time for the masters sculling squad at Marlow. Great days racing with the F quad winning the semi finals but losing the final to Reading
The F double winning the semi final but losing in the final

Wallingford

Our senior women’s squad goes from strength to strength: in the morning the 4- raced in the Challenge category making the final along with the likes of Thames and Leander. In the afternoon the same crew raced in the Club category winning by a huge margin. This makes the women’s squad winners at Dorney every year since 2016 (except the covid year!).
